It's a long time since my last entry in our blog. The simple reason: I just forgot about it.
Now that I'm in Morocco since almost 3 months, relaxing a lot and, off course, also working a little bit now and then, all of a sudden I remembered this blog and thought it might not be a bad idea and open it again.
I don't want to start back again from the last entries some years ago but re-begin it in the near-by past.
After a long, very hot and busy summer season of 2016, Sabah & I were really looking forward towards the end of the season at the end of October. but still carried on with the Las Dalias hippymarket on Saturdays throughout the month of November.
We enjoyed the heavy rainfalls during October and November since the island was really dried out last year. Within no time Ibiza became a green paradise and the sky presented some magical cloud formations.
During the month of November there was hardly anybody left on the island and at the same time it was getting colder and colder and sitting by the fire we realised that it was time to travel to Morocco again, as we are used to do each winter. We started the preparations for the journey, asked a friend to take care of our 5 cats and the chicken (3 cocks and 1 hen).
In the middle of December we took the ferry to Valencia and headed on towards Granada. I don't know how often I've come across Granada in my life but it must be at least 50 times, and never before I'd stopped there to visit the Alhambra. Since we were not under pressure we decided to stay in this town for three days and discover it. We were very impressed by it's beauty and grateful to the ancient Spanish Kings that they hadn't destroyed the Alhambra.
We also visited the old town of Granada and were seduced by a real Arabic atmosphere with Moroccan restaurants and bazaars, and this was the best preparation for our arrival into Morocco the following day.
Tomorrow I'll continue our little story.
